#June is #Migraine Awareness Month

Time to get ready for Migraine Awareness Month!

Also time to get ready for AHMA's blog challenge for the month! For the month of June there is a topic (or alternative) to blog about and then post to your blog and social media with the hashtags #MHAM #MHAMBC

If you want to check out the topics ahead of time to prep some blog posts you can definitely do that as they are already posted Here.

There is also a photo challenge you can do this year instead, or along with the blog challenge. The topics for the photo challenge are Here. The Hashtags will either be the regular #MHAM or for the photo challenge specifically would be #MHAMPC.

I will as usual definitely be doing the blog challenge. Not sure if I will be able to handle doing to photo challenge as well, but it intrigues me. Looks like a lot of fun anyway!

Let the blogging begin anyway!
  1. It’s been said that patients who are able to talk about what they would do without their Headache or Migraine, tend to be less depressed and more hopeful. Some patients have lost the ability to dream about their lives without the present taking hold and destroying their ability to dream of something better.  “What would you do if your dream of a pain and a completely symptom free life, came true?”
  2. A Bed of Clouds (a poem to read and ponder)
  3. Tell us about a recurrent dream and what it might say about, or mean to your diagnosis
  4. Maya Angelou recites her poem “Still I Rise”
  5. The fairy tale or character that best describes you. Tell us why
  6. “The best way to get a good idea, is to get lots of ideas.” Linus Pauling  Help us brainstorm ways to create awareness locally, regionally, nationally and globally. There is no right or wrong way to do this, just give us what you’ve got!
  7. Many Migraine and Headache patients dream of changing how the world views their diagnosis. What have you done to help create change in how the world around you views Headache and/or Migraine disease? Add what you would do if you could.
  8. “It does not do well to dwell on dreams and forget to live.” JK Rowling
  9. Write about this photograph
  10. “What Fear Can Teach Us
  11. “Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken winged bird that cannot fly.” Langston Hughes
